SARC COMPETITION RULES: “ROOIBOS RESET COMPETITION”

  1. PROMOTER
    The promoter of this competition is the South African Rooibos Council (“SARC”).
  2. COMPETITION NAME
    Rooibos Reset Challenge, hereinafter referred to as “the Competition”.
  3. COMPETITION PERIOD
    The competition commences on 1 July and closes on 28 July 2025 at 23:59 SAST. A teaser campaign will go live on 26th of June 2025.
  4. WHO MAY ENTER
    1. This competition is only open to South African residents aged 18 years or older.
    2. Employees, directors, service providers, agents, and immediate family members of the SARC and affiliated partners and sponsors, are not eligible to enter.
  5. HOW TO ENTER
    1. Participants must follow and tag @RooibosCouncil on Facebook or @sarooiboscouncil on Instagram.
    2. To enter, participants need to take part in the weekly challenges and tag a friend in their submission.
    3. Entries shared on social media must include the #RooibosReset.
  6. PRIZES
    1. There are four prizes in total for each of the weekly challenges to the value of +- R13 000.
  7. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
    1. Winners of the weekly prizes will be selected based on random selection.
    2. Winners will be notified via direct message on the platform used for entry (Facebook or Instagram) within seven (7) days after the competition closes.
    3. If a winner does not respond within seven (7) days of notification, a new winner may be selected.
  8. GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
    1. Entries must comply with the guidelines of the competition.
    2. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.
    3. The SARC reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the competition should circumstances beyond its control arise.
    4. By entering, participants grant the SARC the right to use their social media handles and responses for marketing purposes.
    5. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
    6. Participants indemnify the SARC, its partners, and affiliates from any claims related to participation in the competition or acceptance of the prizes.
    7. By participating in the competition, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  9. DATA PRIVACY
    1. Participants’ personal information will be processed in accordance with South African data protection laws.
    2. Information provided will only be used for competition administration and prize distribution.
  10. SPONSORS AND PARTNERS
    1. Each sponsor will receive a mention and tag on social media pertaining to the prizes they sponsor.
  11. DIGITAL PLATFORM
    1. The competition will be hosted directly on Facebook and Instagram.
