SARC Competition Rules: "Brew Like a Bridgerton"
1. Promoter
The promoter of this competition is the South African Rooibos Council (“SARC”).
2. Competition Name
Brew like a Bridgerton Competition, hereinafter referred to as “the Competition”.
3. Competition Period
The competition commences on 1 May and closes on 31 May 2025 at 23:59 SAST. A teaser campaign will go live on 25 April 2025.
4. Who May Enter
- 4.1 This competition is only open to South African residents aged 18 years or older.
- 4.2 Employees, directors, service providers, agents and immediate family members of the SARC and affiliated partners and sponsors, are not eligible to enter.
5. How to Enter
- 5.1 Participants must follow and tag @RooibosCouncil on Facebook or @sarooiboscouncil on Instagram.
- 5.2 Participants must complete the pop quiz by answering the multiple-choice questions – pairing Bridgerton characters with Rooibos blends.
- 5.3 A bonus entry can be obtained by completing the creative challenge: “If you could create a brand-new Bridgerton-inspired Rooibos blend, what would you call it and what flavours would it have?”
- 5.4 Entries shared on social media must include the hashtag #RooibosBridgertonBrewClub
6. Prizes
- 6.1 Grand prize: A high tea set with a variety of premium Rooibos blends and a beautifully bound edition of The Bridgerton Chronicles
- 6.2 Runner-up prize: A luxury Rooibos gift box with character-themed blends.
- 6.3 Bonus prize: The best response on social media wins a tea infuser ball with a loose-leaf Rooibos box.
7. Winner Selection and Notification
- 7.1 Winners of the grand prize and runner-up prizes will be selected based on random selection.
- 7.2 Winner of the bonus prize will be selected based on the most engaging and creative response as judged by a panel appointed by the SARC.
- 7.3 Winners will be notified via direct message on the platform used for entry (Facebook or Instagram) within seven (7) days after the competition closes.
- 7.4 If a winner does not respond within seven (7) days of notification, a new winner may be selected.
8. General Terms and Conditions
- 8.1 Entries must comply with the guidelines of the competition.
- 8.2 Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
- 8.3 The SARC reserves the right to cancel, modify or suspend the competition should circumstances beyond its control arise.
- 8.4 By entering, participants grant the SARC the right to use their social media handles and responses for marketing purposes.
- 8.5 The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- 8.6 Participants indemnify the SARC, its partners and affiliates from any claims related to participation in the competition or acceptance of the prizes.
- 8.7 By participating in the competition, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
9. Data Privacy
- 9.1 Participants’ personal information will be processed in accordance with South African data protection laws.
- 9.2 Information provided will only be used for competition administration and prize distribution.
10. Sponsors and Partners
- 10.1 Each sponsor will receive a mention, logo placement and product integration within campaign materials.
11. Digital Platform
- 11.1 The competition will be hosted via Woobox, which will facilitate entry management, terms and conditions, and prize draw logistics.
